Trevithick Day
Members of UKIP from the Redruth, Camborne & Hayle constituency had very productive day at the Trevithick Day celebrations. David Parker the branch chairman said the he had noticed a change in the public awareness and conception of the EU.
Last year people were somewhat apathetic towards the political parties but now they were angry at the way the Labour Government had given away our country to a foreign power, namely the EU.They were angry that we the voters were not given a referendum over the Lisbon Treaty, which in all essence was the old Constitution.
We, but mainly David with his cherubic good looks handed out over 400 of the ‘Remote Control’ DVD to members of the public.
We took great pains in explaining to the people often crowded around the stand that the loss of our post offices was because of the EU with the collusion of the British Government
Jeff Mager the Cornwall County Chairman said that it was a tremendous day out at a very well attended, well organised, celebration of a famous Cornishman.

“After a successful rally in Exeter in march, we have been campaigning against the E.U. constitutional treaty by leafleting to warn our M.P. Julia Goldsworthy, that she is in a marginal constituency and is unlikely to be re-elected if she endorses the E.U. treaty.
We are also starting a new project commencing at the Camborne Trevithick day on april 26th by issueing our new D.V.D. called remote control to the public.
If you would like a copy ring Dave Parker on 01209-314999, and a copy will be in the post as soon as possible.
Our prospective parliamentary candidate . Derek Elliott , is very active and is getting things done for local people and getting U.K.I.P. before the public, so if you have a problem why not contact him and he will do his best to help.
Our team will be at Trevithick day, and Murdoch day in Redruth, so why not brop by and have a chat— we may be described as “cranks & gadflies” by our opponents, but we are just normal people concerned about our loss of democracy.”
