Flora Day in Helston
Flora Day in Helston this year, saw the local UKIP branch out in force with their Stall, manned by committee members John and Brenda Wing, Stuart Guppy, branch secretary and James Wallis, leafleting manager, with Tess Nash, St Ives Branch Chairman and Jeff Mager, Cornwall County Chairman, in supporting roles.
A good number of people stopped to talk and were all in agreement with the UKIP cause while the DVD “Remote Control” was handed out free of charge and was very well received.
Examination of the route afterwards, revealed very few leaflets thrown away, and no DVDs at all which was a very good sign.
It was felt that support for the UK Independence Party in the area is growing and firm, which was very encouraging.
It was only the change of weather to chill rain that drove everyone home prematurely.
Congratulations and thanks go to John and Brenda, Stuart and James who were there at the crack of dawn until the bitter end.
